About le Campora.

Le Campora is a functioning forest property of 33 ha where we grow oak, chestnuts, walnut and cypresses. Newest are bees and a few olive trees. The property is situated in an EU protected area (NATURA 2000). The river Pesa has its source on the land which ensures a lushness throughout the year why there are plenty of wild boars and deer in the forest. There is also a wolf pack which you may be so lucky to hear howling nearby.

We are members of the Danish Forest Association and Pro Silva, which works for forestry based on natual processes and we follow PEFC (forest certification) an organization working to promote sustainable forestry.

The farm consists of two houses with terrasses, swimming pool and a fabulous view of the woodland and wine fields and with the towers of Siena in the horizon.

The oldest part of le Campora was constructed in 1776 and the house has expanded from there. The original cotto floors, chestnut rafters, the fireplaces and walls has been maintained while the house has been updated with heating, new bathrooms and updated kitchens.

The main house has been built around the old courtyard. There is direct access to the courtyard from the kitchen, the dining room and the two bedrooms on the first floor. In the courtyard a pergola with wine and lots of grapes in season provide shade for meals.

Le Campora has six bedrooms and bathrooms – four in the main house and two in the annex. All bedrooms have been furnished with original furniture and comfortable beds.

The main house consists in addition of a large dining room, a living room, a giant kitchen an office and more smaller rooms. Both dining room and living room have large old fireplaces. The annex consists in addition to the bedrooms of a kitchen and a combined dining and living room also with a fireplace.

Both kitchens are fully equipped with tableware and both have fridges and dishwashers. There is a washing machine with dryer in the main house and our strong WIFI covers both houses. There are terrasses on all sides of both main house and annex so it is possible to dine in both sunlight and shade all day.

From the annex there is direct access to a terrasse with a 5 x 10 m swimming pool with jacuzzi.

Le Campora is situated about 5 km from Radda in Chianti where all necessities can be found. There is in addition a pharmacy, the police station and more restaurants, ice bars and small hotels in Radda.

The distance to both Greve in Chianti, Montevarchi and Siena is about 20 minutes by car.
